Huge thanks to Sport Wales for funding this amazing new craft that should help train our lifeguards and more importantly, help save many lives in the years to come.
Also thanks to Tom Parry at Zodiac MilPro for doing such a great job in providing advice throughout the build process and for including the club logo on the splash deck.
I joined Pen-y-bont SLSC when I was 11 years old. As a member of the club, I have competed in a number of different competitions like the Welsh champs and British champs.
I joined Pen-y-bont Surf Lifesaving Club in the early 1970’s. The aim of Pen-y-bont Surf Life Saving Club was to patrol Ogmore-By-Sea keeping the beach safe for the local community by good communication, efficient rescue techniques, high levels of fitness and C.P.R and 1st Aid skills.
I joined Pen-y-bont SLSC when I was 7 years old, and was an active member for over 10 years. The club has given me the most amazing experiences and opportunities as well as being like a second family when growing up!
Hi, I’m Meriel and I’m Pen-y-bont’s PR officer. I joined the club a few years ago because I needed better training than the club I was previously in could offer.
I joined Pen-y-bont lifesaving club around 12 years old after being encouraged by some friends at swimming. At first I treated lifesaving as a bit of relief from swimming, but little did I know that I would be competing within my first few years.
Pool and beach training sessions will need to be prebooked on the APP.
I am currently the Competition Officer for Pen-y-bont. I have been part of the club since the first group of Nippers, so I started the club at age 7.
